Dr. Mohd Tawfeq obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in 2012. He subsequently earned Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP UK) in 2019, reflecting his dedication to excellence in internal medicine. In 2020, he completed his Master of Medicine at Universiti Putra Malaysia.
He later underwent comprehensive training in general and interventional cardiology at Institut Jantung Negara. In recognition of his continued professional achievements, he was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCP Glasg) in 2025. He has also successfully passed the European Examination in Core Cardiology (EECC) and fulfilled Level 2 training requirements in cardiac computed tomography.
Prior to joining Avisena Specialist Hospital, Dr. Mohd Tawfeq serves as a Physician and Cardiologist at Institut Jantung Negara.
