Qualified from the University of Wales, College of Medicine, UK. He then worked in hospitals in Wales and London and obtained the postgraduate qualification, MRCP (UK) in 2006.
He returned to Malaysia in 2007 and joined the prestigious Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) as a Clinical Specialist, after which he was promoted to Cardiologist.
In IJN, he was actively involved in the advent of new non-invasive procedures such as the Mitraclip and Parachute device insertion and has written papers at scientific meetings on these procedures.
In 2012, he was on fellowship training in cardiac imaging (echocardiography and cardiac CT) at the National Heart Centre, Singapore.
2013 saw him further his fellowship training in cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging (CMR) at The Royal Brompton Hospital in London.
His specialty includes general cardiology, cardiac imaging (echocardiography, cardiac CT and cardiac MRI), interventional cardiology including coronary angiography and angioplasty.
