Dr Ragu received his Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery from the University of the West Indies, Trinidad & Tobago in 2000 and obtained his Masters of Surgery (General Surgery) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2009. He went on to complete his Fellow of Minimal Access Surgery (Laparoscopy) in India in 2012. He completed his Colorectal Fellowship (M’sia, France, Geneva, Thailand) and is a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of Malaysian Society of Colorectal Surgeons.
As a General & Colorectal Surgeon, Dr Ragu has experience in handling a vast array of general surgery cases (breast, thyroid, gallbladder stone surgery, hernia, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy) and colorectal diseases, be it benign or malignant.
Having been trained in France and Geneva for pelvic floor disorders, he is keen in treating patients with chronic constipation, obstructed defecation, rectal prolapse and solitary rectal ulcer syndrome.
