Graduated from UM and obtained his Master’s Degree in General Surgery from UKM and graduated as the best surgical candidate of 2001. He joined his alma mater as a lecturer and was promoted to Associate Professor of Surgery.
As a surgeon, he trained in Advanced Endoscopy and Gastroenterology in Soon Chun Hyang University Hospital in Seoul, Korea.
In 2005, he went for a year-long intensive training in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery at Institute of Laparoscopic Surgery (ILS), Bordeaux, France under the mentorship of world renowned laparoscopic surgeon, Dr Jean Louis Dulucq.
Actively involved in advanced laparoscopic surgery namely abdominal wall hernias repair, upper GI surgeries and bariatric surgeries. He has participated and organised a number of domestic and international scientific meetings and workshops pertaining to laparoscopic and bariatric surgeries. And has authored multiple publications in both national and international medical journals.
He is our Consultant General, Digestive and Laparoscopic Surgeon and also a Senior Lecturer in Monash University Sunway Campus.
