Dr. Reynu Rajan, our Consultant Upper Gastrointestinal surgeon, has made history as the first Malaysian Upper Gastrointestinal surgeon to lecture at the prestigious Oxford University, UK. She was invited to share her expertise and insights with renowned doctors from around the world, creating a historic moment for the nation and the medical field.
Dr. Reynu is a highly qualified and experienced surgeon, with an impressive academic background. She obtained her MBBS degree from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Faculty of Medicine, India, and then completed her specialized training in Surgery at University Kebangsaan Malaysia. She also pursued international fellowships to further enhance her skills and knowledge in the field.
Dr. Reynu is not only a dedicated clinician, but also a trailblazer in the field of surgery. She was the first surgeon from Malaysia to participate as a panel member in an IFSO Webinar discussion, where she discussed ethical dilemmas in managing complex bariatric cases.
She is also a sought-after speaker and faculty member at surgical conferences, demonstrating her influence and reputation in the medical community. She achieved a breakthrough by becoming the first Malaysian Surgeon to perform Single Incision Bariatric Surgery, a minimally invasive technique that offers many benefits to patients.
Dr. Reynu is also committed to scientific research, as evidenced by her active involvement in international collaborations and extensive publication record. She has received many accolades for her contributions to the field.
