Specialist Background

Dr Noorshahrizal earned his Bachelor of Medicine (M.D.) from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2007 and subsequently pursued a Master in Radiology at the University of Malaya in 2016. His commitment to professional growth led him to complete fellowships in Peripheral Interventional Radiology at Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Hospital Selayang and Hospital Sungai Buloh (2019-2021). He further expanded his knowledge and skills through an additional fellowship in Neuro- Intervention at the National Institute of Neuroscience in Budapest, Hungary in 2022.

Currently, Dr Noorshahrizal serves as a Clinical Interventional Radiologist at Hospital Sg. Buloh Selangor, where he performs a broad range of Peripheral and Neuro-Interventional Radiology procedures daily.

His proficiency includes the following:

Intracranial Aneurysm coiling, stenting and flow diverters.
Treatment of Intracranial AVM, Dural AVF, and Carotico-Cavernous fistula.
Embolization procedures.
Mechanical thrombectomy for acute stroke, carotid stenting, and embolization of head and neck tumours.
Pulmonary embolism thrombectomy, catheter-directed thrombolysis of the pulmonary artery, bronchial artery embolization, pleural drainages, lung biopsy, and superior vena cava stenting.
