Specialist Background

Prof Dr. Mohd Zamrin Dimon is a Professor of Surgery (Cardiothoracic Surgery) at the Cardiothoracic Department of the Faculty of Medicine at Universiti Teknologi MARA. He previously served as the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the university and has held various administrative positions.

Prof Zamrin has extensive academic qualifications, including a Bachelor in Medical Science from UKM, a Medical Doctor degree from UKM, a Master in Medicine (Surgery) from USM, and Advance Cardiothoracic Surgery Training from National Heart Institute in Malaysia.

He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Malaysian Association for Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery and the International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery. Prof Zamrin is an expert in Cardiothoracic Surgery, Minimally Invasive Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, and Off pump CABG.

Additionally, Prof Zamrin has patents and copyrights for his work in constructing 3D human heart surface models and motion tracking of ventricular endocardial surfaces.
