Dr Raffiz is a safe and competent Neurosurgeon & Spine Surgeon with vast experience in managing neurosurgical and spinal disorders throughout his practice in the field of neurosurgery since 2008. He is a Board Certified Neurosurgeon with formal training both locally and internationally. He regularly performs neurosurgical and spinal procedures including neuro and spinal trauma, neuro-oncology, skull base surgery and microvascular surgery in Hospital Kuala Lumpur, the busiest neurosurgical centre in the country prior to joining Avisena Specialist Hospital in March 2020.
His special interest includes spine and pain intervention, and regularly performs these procedures. He received spine training from Chungnam National University Hospital and Seol Soon Chun Hyang Hospital in South Korea, before pursuing his Endoscopic Spine Training in Yashoda Hospital in Hyderabad, India.
To complete his holistic approach in managing patients with spinal disorders, Dr Raffiz completed his training in pain management and pain intervention in Kertha Usada Hospital in Bali, Indonesia before receiving his Fellowship in Pain Intervention from Delhi Pain Management Hospital in India.

Treatment for spinal disorders offered by Dr Raffiz ranges from conservative treatment, pain intervention treatment (spinal steroids injections, radiofrequency treatment, intradiscal treatment, etc) and surgical procedures for fusion and or instrumentation (open surgery, minimally invasive surgery, and endoscopic surgery)
Dr Raffiz also has a keen interest in brain surgery especially brain tumours and vascular surgery. He completed his training and received his Fellowship in Neurovascular Surgery from Red Cross Hospital, Asahikawa, Hokkaido, Japan.
