He is an active member of the Malaysian Urology Association.
Earned his MBBS from UM in 1993 and Master of Surgery (General Surgery) from UKM in 2000. Dr Jamil became a Board Certified Urologist in 2004. He completed a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery in 2005 and obtained his fellowship from International College of Surgeons in 2007.
He started his career in 1993 in Penang Hospital and his residency was in Hospital Selayang as a Urologist in the Urology & Renal Transplant Centre. He specialises in male and female urinary tract and the male reproductive organs.
