
Avisena Specialist Hospital is pleased to announce that its Kitchen (Dietetics & Food Service) has officially obtained Halal Certification, reinforcing the hospital’s commitment to providing Shariah-compliant, safe, and hygienic food services for patients, visitors, and staff.
The Halal certification was granted by Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor (JAIS) in accordance with Malaysian Halal Standard MS 1500:2019 and MPPHM (Domestik) 2020. This certification confirms that all food and beverage preparation, handling, and management processes at Avisena Specialist Hospital comply with Islamic law and established halal standards.
A symbolic Halal Certificate Handover Ceremony was held at the hospital and officiated by Puan Nazihan binti Idris, Chief Assistant Director of the Halal Management Division, JAIS. The certificate was received by En Haqulyakin Ahmad, Operation Manager of Avisena Specialist Hospital Shah Alam, and witnessed by En Noor Azwan bin Arshad, Senior Operations Manager, Non-Healthcare Operations.
