Specialist Background

Dr. Azrin is currently an Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon at Hospital Shah Alam. He is in charge of the Advance Musculoskeletal Trauma surgery unit. He did his Bachelor of Science (Medical Science) and Doctor of Medicine at Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2003 and 2005 respectively. He was awarded Doctor of Orthopaedic & Traumatology at University Kebangsaan in 2014. Dr. Azrin passed his 3 years National Subspecialty Fellowship Program in Advanced Musculoskeletal Trauma Surgery under the Malaysian Ministry of Health, both locally and abroad. Dr. Azrin has several publications to his name.

His subspecialty mainly deals with complex pelvic and acetabular fracture surgery, limb length and deformity correction, complex scapular fracture, and many other complex trauma surgeries.

He is familiar with Ilizarov surgery, Limb Reconstruction System (LRS) surgery, and complex scapular fracture surgery, including other general orthopaedic surgeries.
